Scotland - the battery technology continues to develop. Scientists at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, reveals a revolutionary battery is 10 times more durable rather than conventional batteries and is also more lightweight.
DetikINET Quoted from The Sun, Wednesday (20/5/2009), the battery is charged with re-fill to absorb oxygen from the air. Oxygen ago will react with carbon in the battery and cause a lot more energy.
Mini version of the battery is planned to be used as a source of energy for such a gadget phone, laptop and iPod. The penemunya also claims the battery will be mendayai mainstay for the future of electric cars.
Professor Peter Bruce who led the project worth 1.5 million Pounds Sterling is also hope, finding the battery can be marketed around five years.
"The key is using the oxygen in the air as a mediator. What has been produced in this research we have exceeded ekpektasi," said Bruce.
